Bio: Vanessa Arguello-Montez BVOY Founder
I am the youngest of 7 children and was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. I was able to survive a chaotic childhood and family system that included violence, alcohol, and drugs. I was the first in my family to go to college only to be met with harassment and discrimination in my new environment. As a Latina in a predominately white university, it was a shocking and difficult experience but I found strength from my family and peers. I understand what it means to be a minority in one environment and a majority in another. Years of navigating different social and cultural circles has been a powerful learning experience.
Despite several failed relationships, I was able to heal from my past traumas and eventually found love again. I am married to my best friend who serves in the military and together we have three children together. As a military wife, I have learned to embrace all the changes that come with each military move. I have learned that being flexible and patient are important to get through the daily challenges of life. I have been able to carve out my space in the world alongside my husband and his successful career. There were many times I doubted my abilities and fell short of my goals. In the last three years, I would say I finally found clarity in my life, and I am eager to encourage other women who may be struggling. This has not been an easy journey of acceptance, but I am proof that with the right support and guidance you too can also find the Best Version Of Yourself! Let’s begin your journey today.
